The Shred Shed in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was once an awesome DIY venue before it’s inevitable closing. Jesse Cassar is an awesome and genuinely honest guy. He understands and respects the hardships and lifestyle of small touring bands and has even lived in it. He’s in the process of re-opening The Shred Shed. This time, instead of being a noisy party house that doubles as a place for bands to practice and play shows, he’s aiming to do things totally sustainable and by the books. In the building space that was once our beloved Artopia(a head shop that used to let us throw shows in the basement) he’s dumping a lot of time and money into making this whole thing work so we can have a fair, safe and reliable all ages venue here in SLC. Please donate to this Kickstarter.

With the recent shutting down of The Underground, our scene could use a place like The Shred Shed now more than ever.

I’ve got a reasonably large following since starting this blog a little over a year ago. All without hardly trying or doing anything unique or cool. (I sort of suck at internet hype) So I’m pretty stoked about this. Now I plan on changing it up slightly and doing cooler things like legitimate reviews and interviews and the blog would certainly benefit from having even more followers.

So if you want to get re-blog happy with this link and any of the junk I post on here, I wont even be mad at you.

We’re on hiatus. Everyone is still cool, we’re just all doing other stuff we’re more into right now. We have a record that may or may not ever get finished. Maybe one day the stars will align and a show or two might happen for fun and nostalgia. But it’s never going to be a full time band/touring machine again.

This is Sam. I’ve got a decent amount on my plate. But I could entertain the idea of adding something. Currently Brian, Wes and myself are doing Traveler’s Cold. I also have another heavy project in the works with Brian called Rile. Brian is also filling in for Judast(Jesust) currently and recently tracked drums for a band called Day Hymns with dudes from Gaza, Bird Eater and Parallax. Matt is playing with Daytrader. I’m not sure if Wes has much going on musically aside from Traveler’s Cold. He’s always recording hella bands and works a ton on the side from that with United Concerts as well as Kilby Court doing sound and whatnot.

So yeah, that’s where we’re at.

Wes is selling this vintage Mesa/Boogie half stack.

Mesa/Boogie DC-5
Similar to a Mark III and less expensive. It’s the nicer 6L6 model DC-5 with two independent eq’s and a graphic EQ. Cleans are wonderful and the overdrive is tight and crisp with plenty of gain for hardcore, punk, metal, etc… Clean cosmetic condition.

Mesa/Boogie Halfback 4x12
Vintage halfback cab from Mesa. These things are gnarly. This one came stock from Mesa with white tolex. Also came stock with a back panel that you could close the top two speakers with. So you have the option of a full enclosed cab or a half open back. It has the original Celestion G12-80’s in the bottom(enclosed) compartment and the top two are Eminence Swamp Thangs.
$400 OBO
